OUR
PURPOSE AND GOALS
________________________________
The Dove Center is an empowering
organization of Christian Professionals which exists for the
purpose of teaching Godly success principles found in scripture and
thereby fostering positive growth and development in individuals, families and
organizations. We encourage
growth by embracing and transferring truths which God has given to professionals
in the fields of Medicine, Psychology and Business.
Our art is to blend these truths with Biblical principles in such a way
that we empower local churches, civic groups, businesses, families and
individuals to express their full potential through the power of God in the
greater community
ORGANIZATIONAL
HISTORY
__________________________________
The founder of the Dove Center felt
called into ministry as a child, and then twenty years later, after suffering a
long illness and experiencing a miraculously impossible healing through the
power of God, she acted upon that calling.
Dr. Sharon Patterson Hill saw a need for clinically Professional
Psychotherapy that was Biblically-based and after much prayer, founded The Dove
Center in Rock Hill, South Carolina in 1986.
The Dove Center is a for-profit organization that operates as a not-for-profit
community agency.
CORE
PHILOSOPHIES
__________________________________
It is the belief and policy of The Dove Center that we should provide services and/or education to any person regardless of their race, sex or religion who is seeking to improve or develop their personal, ministry or business situations
It is the belief and policy of The Dove Center that the teaching or counsel from our employees or agents affirm the belief in God of the Holy Bible; the authority of the Holy Bible over the actions of man; the Lordship of Jesus Christ and the present active involvement of the Holy Spirit in contemporary living.
It is the belief and policy of The Dove Center that we only build programs which in most cases can be self-funded: that is, they will not be dependent upon donations for on-going daily operational costs.

OUR
VISION
____________________________
Our vision is based on what we have seen and heard in our offices, experienced vicariously through alarming statistics and felt in our hearts as a calling of God. We see a chance to help churches, civic groups, business owners, families and individuals change the face of their society. We see this happening not by preaching platitudes but by empowering people, through Christ-Centered training and counseling to be loving competent servants–the very hands of Christ in their communities.
