The
Life Restoration Program is a therapeutic On-Site
Intensive Therapeutic Vacation Program, which is intended to
assist individuals, families, couples and community leaders in restoring
or acquiring relational harmony and wholeness in their lives.
This is achieved by combining Biblically sound counseling,
individual self-examination and respite, under the leadership of the
Holy Spirit, to bring freedom to those who are bound to lifestyles that
bring disintegration of their own inner-peace, their closest
relationships and their careers.
Biblically
Sound Counseling
A
nationally certified counselor is available to guide in all therapeutic
activities with guaranteed confidentiality. All
counseling will be Christ-Centered and will endeavor to bring each
participant back to a powerful relationship with God, themselves, their
family and their community. This
counseling is intense, by this we
mean that we do not employ group counseling in the therapeutic
process. You will have your own, private therapist
dedicated to just you while in the program. We limit the number of
LRP Participants to 40 per year because of the amount of one-on-one
time spent with each Participant.
Self
- Examination
No
therapy is ever effective if one doesn’t actively participate.
The LRP is designed to place the responsibility of relational
wellness largely upon the participant.
The counselor can guide and help expose hidden areas where the
participant is blind to a fact, but study, introspection and homework
are essential to achieving wholeness.
RESPITE
The
LRP is conducted in a resort setting so the rest and relaxation can be a
part of the overall scheme of things.
Without a safe, comfortable place conducive to self-examination,
that examination will probably not take place.
This program is designed to allow for much restful
self-reflection and healing.
Follow-Up
We
provide follow-up services by phone for as long as necessary after
departure from the LRP program. This follow up by phone is on a
fee per session
basis.

FOR
MINISTERS ESPECIALLY!
For
various reasons Ministers are finding themselves lost in a world of
religious tasks. They feel
trapped and many times are so isolated that they become caught up in
damaging behaviors. The LRP
assists in addressing these:
Ministerial
Burnout:
Ministers
often find their financial, personal and spiritual worlds are imploding
into them. The LRP can
gently guide them and their loved ones on a path of personal healing.
Sexual
Misconduct: Whether
it is an illicit affair, pornographic addiction or abnormal desires,
this area of behavior can destroy everything that a Minister holds dear.
The LRP can assist in finding freedom in this area.
Relational
Dynamics: Many
problems Ministers face revolve around their people and management
skills. Balancing roles,
boundaries and priorities require specific communication skills.
The LRP can greatly assist in this area.
Financial
Independence: Concerns
about money effects many Ministers.
Much can be done this area.
The LRP has training specifically targeted toward this area
Character
Development: Because
most Ministers are eager to please, they get themselves into real tight spots of over-scheduling, not being on time, money worries and
neglecting the family. The
LRP can assist here as well.

Refund of Deposits Policy
We will be happy to refund deposits in the event
that you are unable to keep your scheduled arrival date, however,
we reserve the right to limit the amount of refund depending on
the amount of prior notification that you give us concerning your
inability to come at the scheduled time. Since we only take
30 participants per year per location it is critical that we know far
in advance of arrival that you have to cancel. Here
is our guideline for return of Deposit amounts:
If you let us know...
1 month prior to arrival that you must
cancel........... 80% of deposit is refundable
2 weeks prior to arrival that you must
cancel ......... 50% of deposit is refundable
Less than 2 weeks prior to arrival that
you must cancel, No amount of deposit
is refundable.

provided by two 25 year veteran counselors. Because of their
commitment to the mission of The Dove Center, they provide their
services on a volunteer basis. Any donations should be made to
Open Your Eyes, Inc. a non-profit organization under IRS code
501(c)(3)

Will
Insurance Cover the Cost?
While
we typically do not accept Insurance assignment and Insurance Usually
does not cover our services, it still depends on
your insurer's policies.
We have found that because
our LRP program is not a true "residential"
program under the strict definition of insurance programs, then
many times the cost is not covered. Also, since we operate
like a
non-profit program and our fees fall so far below normal and
customary market rates, then our rates usually fall below the
"out-of-pocket" limits for the insurance or the
"deductible" amount. You are welcome to submit
your paid invoice on your own for possible reimbursement,
but we do not offer billing services for insurance. Our private
pay policy helps us keep our fees very low so that more people can
receive the help that they need.

What Happens While I'm
There?
An
Average Day Includes:
3 Hours of Personal Counseling
1 to 2 hours of "homework"
The Balance is to be spent in personal recreation, reflection,
self-examination and time with God.
Sundays can be a "On" day for Counseling or can be an
"Off" day if needed.

What Will I need to Bring?
Your own toiletries
Your own Medications
Your own Car if you wish to "sightsee" or we'll assist
you finding a rental car.
Your own lap-top computer if you need constant e-mail and internet
access
Your own Cell Phone if you wish to have your own
personal phone in your room
We strongly
discourage the use of the
phone
and Lap top computers during your stay, it
will hinder your progress.
(Internet, phone or e-mail access may be restricted for some clients)

How
Long Will I have To Stay
We
Cannot require that you stay any longer than you wish to
stay. However, we have
found that the minimum length of stay , needs to be between 7 to
14 days. The reason for this is that it takes at least
3 days to get "unwound" from your regular
"grind" and to get accustomed to the counselor and
your new surroundings; after that, real progress can begin. A
good average term of stay is 10 days.

What
about Travel/Food?
Travel
is not included in the fees: you must arrange travel for
yourself
Food is not provided. You will have a kitchen where you can prepare food.
Rental Car: If you use your own insurance we can get
you a good car for $35.00/day not including tax.

Can I Bring
My Family?
Obviously, if it is a marital problem both spouses are usually
needed. For most restorative cases, however, we
suggest that no one come with you. Having someone with you
can hinder your progress. The only true exception to this is
in the case of rape. In these cases a close friend or family
member can be of great comfort and security.
Childcare Policy:
In extreme cases, it has been necessary that we find childcare
for clients. We urge you to not count on this as a
service that we can provide. Because of the location of
our facility,
childcare is quite expensive: $50 per 3 hours.
